This project included several specific details and demanding positions for the execution of works.

The main roof thermal insulation consisted of PIR boards, thickness 16 cm (equivalent to 24 cm of rock wool),
while the parapet thermal insulation consisted of PIR boards, thickness 5 cm (equivalent to 7.5 cm of rock wool).

The greatest challenge for thermal and waterproofing works were the steel columns supporting the solar power plant.

The main building structure is masonry, while the roof structure is made of steel HEA profiles, covered with deep trapezoidal sheet metal decking for large spans.
The steel columns for the solar panels were installed directly on the HEA profiles.
Considering the high thermal conductivity of steel, it was necessary to ensure proper insulation of the columns.

The columns were filled internally with low-expanding PU foam, and externally covered with PIR insulation, thickness 5 cm.

Due to the installation of the solar power plant, the investor was advised to select an FPO waterproofing membrane Sarnafil TS 77-18, thickness 1.8 mm,
which provides superior durability, longer service life, and better resistance to mechanical damage.

On the roof canopy, a tapered thermal insulation was installed to achieve the required slope of the flat concrete slab,
followed by the installation of a PVC waterproofing membrane Sikaplan 15G.

The advertising structure on the front façade was waterproofed using liquid waterproofing membrane Sikalastic 641,
applied according to the prescribed technology and with proper surface preparation.

The successful realization of this project is the result of the dedication and professionalism of all members of our team, with special credit given to the waterproofing crew for their exceptional work during installation.

Total installed thermal insulation:

  • PIR thermal insulation, thickness 24 cm (main roof areas – supermarket and warehouse): approx. 490 m²
  • PIR thermal insulation, thickness 5 cm (parapets – supermarket and warehouse): approx. 95 m²
  • Tapered thermal insulation, slope 2% (roof canopy): approx. 20 m²

Total installed waterproofing:

  • FPO waterproofing membrane Sarnafil TS 77-18 (supermarket and warehouse): approx. 610 m²
  • PVC waterproofing membrane Sikaplan 15G (roof canopy): approx. 45 m²
