A section of the roof at the ‘Nestle Adriatic S’ business and production complex in Dobanovci (Surčin) underwent rehabilitation.

The old roof covering consisted of a bituminous waterproofing membrane protected by gravel. Over time, exposure to weather conditions led to the degradation of the bituminous membrane, causing water leakage into the building.

The roof rehabilitation process included the removal of gravel, lowering it from the roof, and cleaning the existing bituminous membrane.

After the preparatory work, PVC drip edges and PVC trims were installed along the roof perimeter to finish the waterproofing.

A protective separating layer of geotextile was then applied over the bituminous base, followed by the placement of waterproofing membrane strips. These strips were mechanically fastened to the existing roof using anchors, with spacing determined based on wind load calculations.

For this roof, the installation of the ‘Sikaplan 18G‘ PVC roof waterproofing membrane was completed over an approximate area of P = 1,600 m².
