Partial roof rehabilitation was carried out on a commercial building in Novi Sad to prevent water ingress during the winter months. Complete rehabilitation is planned for spring when conditions will be more suitable for construction.

Existing roof layers included:

  • Reinforced concrete slab
  • Bituminous waterproofing
  • Protective layer of gravel

Rehabilitation involved:

  • Removing gravel from the section of the roof being repaired
  • Reapplying gravel on the newly installed waterproofing

Installed layers during rehabilitation:

  • Geotextile 500 g/m²
  • Waterproofing membrane ‘Sarnafil TG 66 – 15‘
  • Geotextile 500 g/m²
  • Gravel ballast

The rehabilitated area is approximately P = 800 m², which constitutes about half of the total roof area.
