At the ‘Coca Cola’ production complex in Zemun, waterproofing was applied to new ventilation ducts.

Following a request from the mechanical installation contractor, waterproofing was planned for the new sheet metal ducts.

Key phases had to be coordinated:

  • Roof cutouts
  • Ventilation duct installation
  • Waterproofing application

The existing roof has an EPDM membrane, which is incompatible with PVC/FPO membranes – posing an added challenge.

The ducts were waterproofed using Sikalastic 641 liquid polyurethane membrane and reinforced with Sikaplan 15G PVC membrane.

Application of liquid membrane required optimal weather: no rain, dew, or low temperatures.
