Prefabricated structures are becoming increasingly popular, including family homes, weekend cottages, office buildings, and showrooms.

For this project, our team installed a waterproofing system on the roof of a prefabricated weekend house. The structure consists of wooden beams and supports, with an OSB board covering.

A separating layer of geotextile was placed on the sloped roof surface, followed by the installation of a PVC waterproofing membrane ‘Sikaplan 15G’. The membrane was mechanically fastened with special wood screws and washers and hot-air welded at the overlaps.

Total waterproofed area: approx. 110m².

All communication with the investor was conducted remotely via phone and email. The investor was pleasantly surprised by our efficiency, adherence to schedules, and quick project completion, which speaks to our team’s professionalism. We always honor our commitments, even with first-time clients.

For prefabricated buildings with OSB board roofing, waterproofing is crucial to prevent rain from soaking the OSB panels, which are moisture-resistant but not waterproof.
