At a commercial building in Stara Pazova, thermal insulation and waterproofing were applied to the parapet walls of the administrative section above the glass facade.
The parapet detailing required coordination with the investor and the glass facade designer to ensure compatibility with the facade elements and cantilevered brackets.
A 60 mm thick PIR insulation layer was installed on the vertical part of the parapet on the roof side and on the horizontal section at the parapet cap above the glass facade.
Afterward, a ‘Sikaplan 15G’ waterproofing membrane was installed, welded on one side to the existing roof waterproofing system and on the other (facade) side to pre-mounted PVC profiles fixed onto the horizontal L-profile of the structural glass facade.
As part of the same project, waterproofing work was carried out around the parapet cap’s cantilever brackets, including the installation of 300g/m² geotextile and welding of the ‘Sikaplan 18D’ PVC waterproofing membrane to seal these details properly.
Despite challenging winter conditions, the work was executed with high quality and the dedication of experienced waterproofing specialists.
Total length of the treated parapet: approx. 42m.
