At the commercial building, the terrace was waterproofed as preparation for the installation of the final layer of glue and ceramic tiles.

Liquid applied roofing membrane “Sikalastic 614” consists of several layers: prepared, clean and dry terrace substrate is coated with “Sikalastic Concrete Primer”, after the primer layer has hardened, the first layer of coating “Sikalastic 614” is applied, rolled in mesh “Sikalastic Reemat Premium”. After hardening of the first layer with the mesh, second layer of liquid applied membrane “Sikalastic 614” is applied. Fot the top coat is applied a third, thin layer of liquid applied membrane, which is sprinkled with quartz sand “Sikadur 501” until the surface is “saturated”. After drying the third layer, the excess quartz is removed.

In this way, a completely waterproof waterproofing system is obtained, accomplished with a liquid applied membrane, which after curing formed a waterproof layer with thickness of about 1,5 mm. Top layer sprinkled with quartz enables direct installation of ceramic tile adhesive and gluing ceramic tiles as a final protective layer on the terrace.
