At this facility, the scope of work included roof rehabilitation, refurbishment of the lightning protection system, and installation of bird deterrent systems.

The roof rehabilitation was carried out by installing a synthetic PVC waterproofing membrane on the flat, non-accessible roof section. Prior to membrane installation, a protective geotextile layer of 500 g/m² was placed, along with PVC profiles along the roof perimeter and around penetrations.

Subsequently, a Thermofol M15 PVC waterproofing membrane, manufactured by the German company Bauder, was mechanically fastened to the substrate and hot-air welded at seams and to the installed PVC termination profiles.

Additionally, three PVC vertical drains Ø90 mm with leaf guards and three PVC vent pipes Ø110 mm with protective caps were installed.
The total waterproofed roof area amounts to 85 m².

After the waterproofing installation, the existing lightning protection system was rehabilitated. A section of the conductor was relocated from the curved part of the roof, and new SON 17C supports by Hermi were installed, welded to the PVC roof membrane with strips of PVC waterproofing. A new Ø10 mm aluminum conductor was mounted into the supports and connected to the existing lightning protection system with contact clamps.

The decommissioned lightning protection supports, as well as the joint between the flat and curved roof sections, were waterproofed with Sikalastic®-641 liquid polyurethane membrane, while the existing supports on the curved part of the roof were additionally sealed with Sikaflex®-11FC polyurethane sealant.

Finally, stainless steel (INOX) wire bird deterrents were installed along the ridge of the pitched metal roof. The protection, with a total length of approximately 30 m, was mechanically fixed and sealed with Sikaflex®-11FC sealant.
