New production equipment was installed at the production facility “Tira” in Šimanovci, which required the installation of additional installation pipes – ventilation ducts. In coordination with the technical service, the opening on the roof covering was cut with required layout and dimensions.

After installation of installation channels – pipes (“roof penetrations”), waterproofing and connection with the existing basic roof waterproofing membrane was performed.

Note along with the waterproofing of roof penetrations that let-off high-temperature air, combustion products in the production process, or to let-off combustion products for heating buildings, it is necessary to thermally insulate pipes with stone wool specific for those purposes.

In practice, double pipes are installed with the filling of the interspace with non-combustible material that prevents heat dissipation, so that it is possible to waterproof such pipes, chimneys and roof penetrations.
